Wishtober is an annual art challenge based around the Wishful closed species!
Below you can find this year's prompt list, as well as the guidelines and rules if you want to claim the rewards in our discord server.
Size: 500x500px minimum. You are welcome to draw smaller and scale it up as long as it doesn’t get super blurry; we just need to be able to see!
Medium: Digital and traditional are both accepted.
Style: Entries must be a clean sketch at the least. Colour is not required.
Character: Entries must include a headshot or equivalent; enough to recognize the Wishful. If you don’t have your own Wishful or Wishpup, you are welcome to draw Miuna, or ask other members for permission to use their characters.
Mature Content: Heavy gore is not accepted, and light gore must be spoilered.
Prompts: All entries must relate to the prompt in some way. We encourage creative freedom and expression; go nuts! Give your Wishful bat wings or a plushie mutation, for example; just remember these are not permanent changes unless you use the appropriate cosmetic item.
Deadline is November 1st, 2023, at 11:00pm Pacific time.
Post whenever. Unlike previous years, your entries don’t need to be in any order or on any particular day. The order and time doesn’t matter so long as you have everything submitted by the deadline!
Discord participation: Submit your entries to prompt-submissions. One entry per message, and please include the prompt it’s for (ex. “Pumpkin Spice Surprise”). Please no chatting in that channel as it will make it harder for the mods to reward prizes; you are welcome to double-share and talk about your entries in member-artwork.
Deviantart participation: You are welcome to submit your entries to the Deviantart group; however, only Discord entries in the appropriate channel will earn rewards. DA participation is just for fun and to show your art to a broader audience.
Each approved prompt will earn you 5 Spooky Candies. These are manually rewarded by mods on Discord, so please be patient.
These candies can be used to “craft” the prizes that have been available in the Spooky Shop in previous years. A guide will be published hopefully before the end of the event.
Complete at least 7 days to earn a Drawtober Stamp! Bronze requires 7 days; Silver requires 14 days; Gold requires 21 days; and completing all 31 days will earn you Platinum (which is animated!).
Earn a special prize for each set of prompts you complete! Complete the whole month to get 3 anomaly items and 3 mutation items of your choice!
